About Studio Merian

Founded by Lorna Collins, Studio Merian creates bespoke interiors for residential and commercial clients.

After studying textiles and fine art, Lorna has worked in display design, photographic styling for advertising and magazines, art consultancy, retail merchandising and buying for a spectrum of small independent to large international companies alongside her own freelance consultancy work.

Moving with her husband and three children to Shanghai, China in 2015 meant an opportunity to take time out to study again. Gaining a BA (Hons) degree in Interior Design consolidated decades of life and career experience into a new skillset of interior architecture and design.

Now after almost 30 years living away, Lorna has returned to her home city of Wolverhampton and has founded Studio Merian to share a varied scope of skills and services to a new audience.

Testimonial

“Lorna has the rare ability to curate unique palettes of materials and source distinctive pieces that together feel both of-the-moment and timeless. In a design landscape so often filled with the familiar and formulaic, Lorna’s work stands out as warm and original. She crafts cohesive spaces full of character, whether she’s exploring bold colour or textured, understated materials.

She’s also a delightful person who brings a disciplined and diligent approach to her process that elevates every project she undertakes.”
